Easter has come and gone and boy was it draining. The kids had a blast so I guess that is what really counts. I am just getting old! Our Easter lasted for about two weeks. It ended yesterday with our final party at Grandma and Grandpa Andersen's with my brother's and their families. But, it all started the Saturday before Easter. We had the annual Ester Egg hunt and Qual ridge where Doug's Grandma Orchard lives. We have been doing that since Keyton was a baby. It is a lot of fun and the kids always end up with a haul. Saturday night we dyed are eggs for the Easter bunny and Easter morning the kids were excited to see their baskets filled with all sorts of goodies. After that we went to Grandma Harmon's for Easter breakfast and once again MORE Easter goodies. That afternoon we headed out to Aunt Becky's for Easter dinner and ANOTHER egg hunt where the kids made another haul. It was all really fun and the kids enjoyed their time with the family, Keyton still wants to hide eggs at our house and do our own hunt, but I think Easter can come again next year.

Well, my sister keeps hounding me about updating my blog. I haven't been in it since i created it in December of 2007. So, when i tried to log in I couldn't find my previous blog. So i guess i will start again. Here goes nothing.


I am struggling with what to write, writing to me is a outlet and there are a lot of things going on right now that i am not quite sure where to begin. I guess I will start with me. As many of you know Doug and I are expecting our 3rd child. I am 13 weeks...Yeah my second trimester! I have been terribly ill and have struggled immensely with this pregnancy. I really need to realize how lucky i am to have a healthy pregnancy so far. A friend of mine as just delivered her still born baby girl at 5 months. I pray for her and her family and they remind me (without even knowing it) to suck it up! Speaking of losses there seem to be so many people close to me that are losing loved ones left and right. I think to myself how I would I deal with that, these people are so strong and really are my strength to know i can get through anything.



On a lighter note....The Harmon family is finally growing. Doug and I are now not the only creators:) Dustin and Lynell have a beautiful baby girl Halle and his other brother is expecting as well. I am so happy for them and my kids will have cousins on both sides now that are close in age to play with. The years to come are going to be filled with so much fun and craziness. I look forward to them all. Speaking of cousins, My sister and her family will be here for the WHOLE month of July and I am so excited. I miss her and her family so much. With my family growing it is hard to make it out east once a year like I used to. I feel like i have missed so much with her kids. I am so grateful that I took the time in the past to go. It amazes me how much my daughter acts like Maya when she was little. Certain looks and the way she says things brings me back to the memories I have of Maya when she was just a toddler. I can't wait to see them!

Pring is finally hear (or so it seems) and my kids are excited for bike riding, walks, palying outside. Winter seemed so long. It is nice to get out of the house. Keyton is starting Kindergarten this fall. I am so scared but he as come out of his shell a lot lately and i really think this is the best for him. I hope I am right. This is probably the beginning of second guessing all my decisions as a mother...am I right or wrong? Hadley is growing so fast. She wants to do everything and is not scared of anything. A complete opposite of Keyton at this age. It will be fun to see how this next baby is different.
